Canal Alley

While dodging cars, contractors, dogs and gondolas, this painting was completed in the Naples Island area of Long Beach, California. I find alleys a good subject to paint because of the variety of shapes and play of light. I have also met interesting people with all kinds of stories about the Naples area neighborhood.
